Rev. Dr. Acquafondata is an ordained minister who has served congregations and worked as a chaplain in hospital and hospice settings. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree and a Master of Science in Counseling degree.
Everything Rev. Dr. Acquafondata teaches comes out of decades of personal systems work relating to her own functioning in family, congregational and employment systems, as well as years of education and study.
She was introduced to the work of Edwin Friedman at United Theological Seminary of the Twin cities in 1994 and has engaged the systems journey full force since then. Rev. Dr. Acquafondata is a graduate of:

- Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit (Pittsburgh, PA), Master of Science in Counseling
- United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities (New Brighton, MN), Master of Divinity

In addition Rev. Dr. Acquafondata successfully completed three units of clinical pastoral education. She has spoken as a guest at congregations from a variety of denominations and has officiated at numerous weddings, funerals and memorial services.
Rev. Dr. Acquafondata is an affiliated community minister at First Unitarian Church of Rochester, N.Y. She is married and is the mother of two adult sons.
